Words of wisdom from a tough old dog

(430)288-1679

My life has involved many varied trials and tribulations, extensive travel, the early death of my Soul Mate, the passings of many good people and exposure to some of the very bad. Through all of it, my faith in the Lord has kept me out of jail. A man of great Common Sense, I yet recognize that luck is required to reach a very old age. My brushes with death can not be counted on a single hand and my body has yet to fail me. Physical conditioning is like being well prepared for the coming Global Financial Collapse. Use it or lose it.

  • Merry Christmas!!

All of us – especially citizens of the United States – should openly express gratitude for their lives and loved ones. As a youth, Christmas was the ultimate ‘BONUS DAY’, and it was rare to reflect on its meaning. Commercially, Christmas is unchallenged for its ability to inspire good people to give generously and work,… Read more

  • Tragedy

During the course of my life, I have observed a great deal of tragedy; I have only been a participant in a very few circumstances. The elderly death of one’s parents is not a tragedy. Death is as natural as birth. True tragedy is when someone suffers an untimely death and especially when it is… Read more

  • TDS

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is pervasive in the United States today. Its symptoms include absolute and unfiltered irrationality. I have two high income daughters who live in San Diego, California. Normally highly intelligent and mentally powerful, these ladies turn to mush when President Trump’s name is even mentioned. The unanchored idea that President Trump is… Read more

  • 2025: A LOOK AHEAD

I have been watching the U. S. economic indicators since I got spanked in 2009.  I was both Over Leveraged and Unprepared.  My life of excess came abruptly to an end. Today is December 18, 2024 The United States has now completely drained our bank’s REVERSE REPO FACILITY.  In brief, what this means is that… Read more

  • Be Grateful

Most of us are unhappy about personal issues in one form or another. The society in which we live honors beauty to an unhealthy degree and media advertisers and television reminds us regularly that we are NOT one of the ‘BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE’. We buy nice clothes and we use makeup or wigs – this includes… Read more

  • Life…in general

So…life is seldom without a great deal of complication and trauma. How you deal with, compartmentalize and learn from negativity will define your success or failure in the long game. As I have grown older, my appreciation for life is such that I can no longer watch programs that involve Predation; though Lions are beautiful… Read more

  • Christmas Party

Last night my wife, My Anh (me-ann), and I attended her Christmas Party. In my life, I have attended some extravagant affairs and – far too often – I consumed too much alcohol. During this dinner party, I was offered cocktails by the servers and by my wife’s boss…all of which I declined. It’s not… Read more

  • SILVER

I have no idea how many people might be following my blog but, with a Degree in English, writing is something that comes easy to me. That said, I will now expound on something that I wrote just yesterday. There is about to be a Global Paradigm Shift concerning Silver. For decades now, there has… Read more

  • TGIF

I have been retired for quite some time now and TGIF just does not have the same meaning anymore. In fact, many stores and important business operations cease on the weekend. When I was young – well before the advent of the ‘ATM’ – I had to make it to the bank early Friday afternoon… Read more

  • American Destiny

I thank the Lord that President Trump will now be able to correct the damage that was Joe Biden. The Annals of History will now examine Joe Biden in detail and, over time, the American People will know the full criminality of the Biden Crime Family and the importance of a legitimate Election. That said,… Read more
